Description/Blazon
A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Per chevron Gules and Vert a sword and key saltirewise hilt and bow to base Argent, alighting from chief onto the sword-blade an eagle of the last, issuing from dexter chief a lightning flash of the like. Attached below a bipartite Scarlet motto scroll inscribed "PERGITE PROELIUM" in Silver letters.

Symbolism
The eagle denotes assault from the air and represents American resolve to combat any national threat. The sword symbolizes readiness and the warrior ethos which characterizes the unit. The key refers to the Military Intelligence input supporting the mission, the chevron shape at the base of the shield alludes to Engineers and emphasizes a foundation of strength and unit solidarity. The lightning flash indicates mission responsiveness and power and refers to Signal. Green represents Military Police, scarlet symbolizes courage and sacrifice. Silver signifies integrity and dedication.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 6 September 2006. It was amended to correct the description and symbolism on 17 October 2006.
